Saint Michael's College

During the past few weeks we have all noticed all the tours going around full of high school seniors and there parents, deciding where they want to send their kid to school. Have you noticed any changes on campus during these last few weeks? I definitely have, the maintenance workers are out way more, they spread new mulch, plant new trees, lay seed to spread over low grass areas, even the food seems a little better. I understand our school needs to market itself to attract new students, and to tell you the truth, I think they do a great job. Can anyone think of anything else they have noticed differently in campus since these tours have started?

  1. I agree with everything that you just said. I also have noticed the new landscaping around the campus and a much better selection of food in Alliot during the big tour days. A part of me wishes that they always maintained the campus and Alliot regardless of tours starting it. We're already paying the money, shouldn't we get too look at a beautiful campus and eat better food regardless of it being a special day?

  2. I agree with Taylor... Definitely the food is better! Also do you remember last year when they had the sign above Alliot saying very causally "I Like Saint Mike's" what do you think that sign did for us as an institution? I personally thought it made our reputation seem much less serious than it should be as an institution for higher learning... It may have attracted many incoming freshman, which i suppose was the goal.. but how do you think it impacted our image?

  3. I think that they maintain the campus extremely well even in the fall. Its tough to do anything in the winter when it snows so much. One of the biggest advertising factors for the school is the students that go here. When people see us acting happy because campus looks nice or the food is good they are more likely to come here. Lets not forget about the new student life center, it will be the center of the marketing campaign.
